As the night progresses, Setsuko becomes quite tipsy, prompting the professor to call Okada to escort her back home while he decides to spend the night at Okadas place. Tokio starts to grow suspicious of Setsuko when she witnesses Okada bringing her niece home, and her doubts only deepen when she learns that her husband never actually went for his golfing activity as planned.
