Upon decoding the message recorded, Dr. Russell discovers that aliens are planning to invade Earth and have tasked him with organizing a meeting with Earths leaders in Washington in 56 days to discuss their demands in order to avoid causing panic. Dr. Russell then sets out to develop an anti-magnetic weapon, the last hope of humanity against the impending alien threat.
